Conservation Districts of Iowa (CDI) works closely with local Soil and Water Conservation Districts to provide scholarship opportunities to foster the higher education endeavors of Iowan students interested in conservation and agriculture.
Preferences are given to students pursuing programs of study in conservation, and the scholarship must be used for the student’s first year of college education.

The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation provides four scholarships each year to conservation-minded Iowan students. The awards include The Lawrence and Eula Hagie Heritage Award, The Brush of Excellence Award, The Ding Darling Scholarship Award, and the Gladys Black Scholarship Award. The Iowa Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society provides two $1,000 memorial scholarships each year to provide financial aid to students in need of economic assistance pursing a career in soil and water conservation or natural resources. The Iowa Association of Naturalists provides a scholarship program for students and professional members to help cover the cost of workshops and increase professional development.
While this may not be a traditional higher education based scholarship to put towards tuition, student members of the organization can use the sponsorship towards their professional development.
