Mud Camp and Spring Creek Watersheds encompasses 64,511 acres central Iowa. The creeks and their tributaries traverse over 50 miles before entering the Des Moines River. Jurisdictions located within the watershed include: Mitchellville, Runnells, Pleasant Hill, Altoona, and Bondurant. Extensive work is being done by these jurisdictions and other partners to address flooding and pollutant concerns. A Watershed Management Authority (WMA) was formed in 2014 to help accomplishment.
